La ignorancia y el oscurantismo en todos los tiempos no han producido mĂĄs que rebaĂąos de esclavos para la tiranĂa.

This is her first calf. Sometimes they just don’t want to deal with it.

It’s pretty normal- and the hungrier they are, the more they dance around and fidget.

I’d be immensely interested to know a single (real) way that vaccine mandates hinder their war fighting abilities.

Mama here would rather crawl fences and run like a buck eejit than feed her baby, so I’m giving them the opportunity to play nice with each other.

Edmonton folks! I’m looking to interview a first-time buyer for a story i’m writing.

If this is you or someone you know, send me a DM for further details.

Thanks in advance!

Borys Gudziak (he’s a Ukrainian Catholic bishop and, according to friends who know him, a pretty decent guy) shared this earlier today.

Today I discovered a Facebook group called Conservadores enojándose por cosas imaginarias (conservatives making themselves angry about imaginary things) and it’s exactly what I needed to see.

Self-excommunication actually makes all of this significantly easier.

It’s weird as all heck to watch conservatives lose their minds about freedoms and prosperity being stripped away by Mark Carney and then turn around and sing praises of Danielle Smith.

I could laugh at it if I lived anywhere else. But I live in Alberta. I don’t want to ride this ride anymore.

But, then I think that my efforts would be better spent finding a nice place to live somewhere down in Mexico.

Because as much as they have their beady little eyes on Mexico, too, I doubt they really want to absorb that many Catholic latinos.

Every now and then, I think that maybe I should take out my US citizenship quickly before things get even worse and Canada gets swallowed up by the yanks and we have some sort of weird second class citizenship forced upon us.

It seem strange to me when westerners fret about the possibility of a country like, say, Iran having nuclear weapons.

Because the only country that’s ever been so reckless as to actually nuke anyone is the USA.

So really, they’re the only ones we know can’t be trusted with them.

Someone riding a grey horse in a snowy field.

Someone riding a grey horse in a snowy field.

The biggest kid just turned 13 today.

Kid’s a giant. Eats all the food. Has the ambition of a sloth.

Love that guy.

The snow geese are flying south tonight.

I guess they’ve had it with this bullshit weather too.

An old chapel in Óbidos, Portugal. The steps and wall corners are stone, while the walls are whitewashed. An arched doorway is on the left, with stone pillars made into it. In the center of this front wall, at the top, is a very narrow window framed with stone. A cross is at the top of the roof, which has a few plants growing from it. On the sides and beyond this building are more whitewashed buildings.

Things seem to be running more smoothly on here, so I'm going to press my luck and try a post for #AlphabetChallenge #WeekOforOld. This is the Capela de São Martinho in Óbidos, Portugal. Built in 1331, it is the city's only remaining completely medieval building. #photography

Probably 90% of the time, they’ll use the first information they find. It’s anyone’s guess if they’ll find the good or bad first.

Just to go back to basics:

I once worked on a (winning) presidential campaign.

Something too obvious for anyone to mention was: "Don't get into a fight with the Pope over who knows more about Jesus."

These people are morons.

Ah, the classic blunders:

1. Never get involved in a land war in Asia.
2. Don't try to match wits with a Sicilian when death is on the line.
3. Don't get into a fight with the Pope over who knows more about Jesus.

At the very least, I hope we get a good, old-fashioned interdict.

As much as I think that floor crossing is a dirty part of electoral system, I’m getting a real kick out of angry conservative men posting videos about how Carney is ‘Canada’s first unelected prime minister with our first unelected majority.’

Life’s hard but it’s a lot harder when you’re stupid.

I used to have an old pea coat with these deep side pockets that each could hold a bottle of rum.

I miss that coat.
