Just wrapped up an incredible week at #SilviLaser2025 in Québec City 🌲🇨🇦
It was so inspiring to see the growing focus on multi-temporal LiDAR this year!
Huge thanks to the organizers for a seamless event. 🌳✨
Until next time in 2027, in Warsaw! #SilviLaser #Forests #LiDAR

Check-out these awesome posters of Q-ForestLab phd students Tom Verhelst and Luna Soenens working with TLS in forests at the poster session @BES2024 tonight 🌳 @qforestlab.bsky.social
📢 paper alert! Ever wondered if you can scan the forest faster with your RIEGL scanner without it impacting the structural metrics you extract from the trees? Find out here in a study lead by Tom Verhelst @qforestlab.bsky.social: www.mdpi.com/2072-4292/16...
🙋🏻♀️me too!
🎙️Q-ForestLab presentations at #ForestSAT24 in Rotorua on the last day of the conference 👌
Great presentation 🎙️ by Julia Rieder on her TreeCompR R package (for calculating tree competition indices) at #ForestSAT24, her paper is coming out soon 🎉
📢Checkout these posters on 🌳 QSMs & 🏙️ Urban laser scanning from Zane Cooper & Barbara D'hont @ the poster session @ #ForestSAT2024 in Rotorua
📢 new paper alert 📢 Happy to anounce the last paper of my PhD is out!!! Read it here:

The #BEOday2024 in Hasselt started off with two great presentations!
🥂Yesterday I finished my PhD 🎓. I could have never done this without the support and trust I got from my promotors, fellow PhD students and everyone else at the lab and at home! ❤️ Thank you all! On to the next chapter! @kimcalders @Hans1Verbeeck @CAVElab_UGent
📢 My R package ITSMe has an official logo now! Check out the package on GitHub (). Thanks to @StudioKnets for designing it.

Shoutout to my fellow PhDs @CAVElab_UGent and their super interesting presentations @Silvilaser23
ForSe update 📢 We've scanned our 135m transect at the research forest of UGent in Gontrode 4 times now (9th of March, 9th of April, 6th and 24th of May). You can see the structure change when the leaves appear on the trees! #TLS @CAVElab_UGent @ForNaLab
📢Paper alert! Check out this paper which links forest edge structure (measured with TLS) with🐦sounds, by @tomverhe and co-authors.

David Coomes gave an amazing presentation today as a last-minute keynote at the Forest Disturbance and Ecosystemdynamics symposium. 🙌
Enjoyed my first day at the Forest Disturbance and Ecosystem Dynamics Symposium @berchtesgaden. Great keynotes and posters!
Great presentations by my fellow CAVElab members today at #ForestSAT2022
First time scanning at Wytham Woods! It´s beautifull. #TLS #summercampaign
Great presentation at #LPS2022 by @benjamin_brede on "Combining TLS and UAV-LS for non-destructive biomass prediction at biomass reference sites" #inreview
Talked about tree structure in tropical rainforest at #LPS2022. Thanks to everybody who was listening 🌴.
