1 out of 6 so far! I wouldn’t have been mad though if Wickens got pole.

I don’t hold out much hope for the #60 Acura with a chassis change.

I downloaded a mislabeled Within Temptation song off Limewire in college and when I finally figured out who it was it opened up a whole continent of awesome music that is still my favorite to this day.

Already looking like more of the same in #WEC this year. Hope it’s more competitive next year when I’ll be attending a race.

M 42 also known as the Orion Nebula.

Finally had some patches of clear sky tonight but even then the wind was up and I didn’t want to take the risk of the telescope tipping over, so I only left it out there for a short time. Still, pretty neat what the Seestar could get so quickly #astrophotography

Meanwhile, I still can’t get a clear night to play with my new telescope. Screw you April!

If I was an astronaut I’d yell “get to the choppa!” after splashdown and my crewmates would hate me.

I also had the thought that by Apollo 17 they had had 9 splashdowns with that spacecraft so they really had the procedure down pat. This is basically all new.

There’s a line from Apollo 13 that I’ve always liked. Speaking about landing on the moon, Tom Hanks as Jim Lovell says “it’s not a miracle, we just decided to go.” #artemis

My dad and his navy buddies have been talking as they watch the splashdown. They say the Apollo 17 recovery was a lot faster, but this being a new ship, and more advanced, I would guess it’s just taking a bit longer the shut down or something. #artemis

The Keeping Room & Hush - ok home invasion thrillers. Oddly conventional for Bit Marling and Mike Flanagan

House of Flying Daggers - cool. Not on the level of Hero or Crouching Tiger

Lady Snowblood - great looking, easy to see where Kill Bill came from

I like it a lot, but Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is not a 10/10 show. However, this week’s episode had an absolutely 10/10 scene. Amazing acting from Kurt and Wyatt Russell.

Finished reading Project Hail Mary last night. A fun read, although I feel like the movie improved upon the book. Felt the same way with The Martian.

So the month I got a telescope turns out to be the month with the highest cloud cover in Colorado. I wouldn’t complain if it came with some rain, cause we sure need it, but so far not a drop.

In hindsight, they should given #StarTrek III: The Search for Spock a different name, cause that’s the spoileriest title since Return of the King.
