Many of our current board members hail way back from 2021, and they are term-limited by our Bylaws to pass the torch. This is an amazing opportunity to join our organization and continue our mission to channel visibility into impact through public service and events.

Nearly 9 in 10 trans and gender non-conforming victims of violence are people of color. This statistic underscores the urgency of our collective fight for justice and liberation.

June is also #PrideMonth, and it’s essential that we uplift the voices of Black LGBTQ+ members of our community and honor the profound intersection of these identities. In today’s climate—marked by increasing hostility—it’s more important than ever to stand in solidarity and support one another.

#Juneteenth marks the day in 1865 when the last enslaved people in the United States were freed—two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation. In 2021, President Biden signed legislation establishing it as a federal holiday, now recognized across all 50 states.

On June 12, 2016, 49 people were killed and 58 were wounded in a senseless mass shooting at Pulse, a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida. It was the deadliest incident of violence against LGBTQ+ people in the history of the United States.
