The balance between outrage and empathy is increasingly difficult to keep.

The beginning and the destination
A path that leads back to what was always known

At this point it’s willful ignorance. No amount of explaining will turn the heart of the morally bankrupt.

Logic only becomes useful when someone is genuinely trying to walk toward truth.

There is so much pent up demand for joy and to believe in the future.

It’s heartbreaking, but, something e we must witness for truth to persist. It’s the least we owe the victims who have been systemically abandoned and retraumatized.

I still believe in what we were supposed to be
Not because they earned it
Because those of us standing in the margins
Refuse to go silently into the darkest of nights

Wow.

The common thread in all of it is dehuminization. All the stories are about that and it’s absolutely the story most on my mind.

They’ve overturned Roe.

They’ve criminalized pregnancy in some states.

Arrested women for miscarrying.

They’re making it harder for women to vote.

They shout “repeal the 19th!”

The punishment for abortion is greater than the punishment for rape.

It’s a war on women.

Our future does not belong to tomorrow. It's in every moment that we invest in one another, every choice we make that brings us closer.
