I believe in Titanic conspiracy theories, mostly that it was sunk on purpose. Just like what we see now, the ultra wealthy are pretty much willing to do anything if they benefit…

We got banned for calling out rude and unfair behavior because the mod is too fragile and immature to handle conflict and feedback. The “community” has to walk on eggshells around him, or they will get banned too.

Black Christmas (1974) 50th Anniversary🧵 begins here. I consider this film a cinematic masterpiece of terror, creepiness, & humor. It's so much more than a simple horror/slasher film. It took me multiple viewings to appreciate everything this film has to offer, & what follows is a labor of love

All you need to make a movie is:
- a gun and a girl
- a boy and his dog
- a ghost and their house
- a doomed documentary crew and their project
- Charles Bronson

a close up of a woman 's face with a red background Alt: Goddammit Juno

The character Juno in THE DESCENT doesn’t get enough credit for being maybe one of the most interesting characters in horror history

A beautifully sympathetic, deeply screwed up person

This promo picture just gave me all the giggles. It looks like a photo for LA LAW or something...

Thinking of Debra Hill today as I do every Halloween - one of the savviest producers this silly little town has ever seen 🎃🧡

Friday the 13th Tribute (Pamela's Lament)
Friday the 13th Tribute (Pamela's Lament) YouTube video by Eric Goldman's Cultured Pop

I've always loved Harry Manfredini's oddly emotional closing theme for the original Friday the 13th (and bummed they never used it again in the series), so last night I made this.

They’ll never get The Texas Chainsaw Massacre right again. Not because they don’t try... because they can’t. The original wasn’t about gore. It was about absolute decay. The heat. Rotting dreams. A world already dead and yet still moving onward.

A pure documentary about the collapse of America.

A pile of about a dozen Star Wars books with cover art by Drew Struzan.

A pile of about a dozen Star Wars books with cover art by Drew Struzan.

Drew Struzan was probably best known for his movie posters, but we will always cherish his many, many contributions to our bookshelves - a master, and an inspiration. ✨

A huge chonk of a fluffy cat sitting on a table near an open fire. The cat is cream and grey and appears to be shaped like a barrel in a fur coat. They are scowling fiercely with their moustache and bewhiskered ears apparently flowing back into the cold wind. There's a definite vibe that this villainous cat twirls their moustache as they evict orphans into the aforementioned blizzard and think Scrooge was an easy-going lightweight. They are magnificent.

the only thing all movie geeks agree on is that Tim Curry is a massive, legendary talent and a person we all adore.

Classic adaption of Henry James from director Jack Clayton. Sublime. One of the finest ghost stories on film. Utterly spine-chilling, simply exquisite. 1961
