In LA, protesters have come face-to-face in recent days with members of law enforcement wielding “nonlethal” weapons. While these are regularly used in the United States to disperse public demonstrations, they can cause serious injuries.

My friend was going to come over today. She called to tell me she can't in tears.
She said ICE was at the intersections by her house. She can't leave because she's undocumented. Her kids are citizens. She's afraid to let them out of the house because she's afraid they'll be targeted regardless.
