“Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed.”

GE2025: Stunning victory for PAP, winning 87 of 97 seats with higher national vote share in PM Wong's first electoral test In leading the PAP to 65.57 per cent of the popular vote, up from 61.24 per cent in GE2020, PM Wong bucked a trend of dips in the ruling party's vote share after a new prime minister takes office.

"Trump effect": in countries where politics is not divided along left-right ideology, global econ uncertainty bolsters the popularity of the strong-party (man) incumbents. PAP's popular vote went up from 61% to 65%. China is another case in point. www.channelnewsasia.com/singapore/ge...

looking out for mentions of #disability -specific policy suggestions as I watch the #GE2025 rallies. so far I’ve only heard WP nominees Eileen Chong mention free public transport for the elderly & disabled, Paris V & Ong Lue Ping on mental health support, & Jamus Lim on lifts in SengKang.

been a few late aussie nights trying to catch up with #GE2025 rallies in Singapore, and feeling so bummed about not being able to be there in person. exciting speeches, but still disappointed with the lack of #accessibility by media platforms and political parties in Singapore.

It's important to remember that many disabilities are dynamic. What we can do one day, we may not be able to do the next. Our baseline can shift minute to minute or hour to hour.

Be kind. Don't make assumptions. You will often see us at our best, and almost never at our worst.

Of course it's all about the content you can quickly get, but the reportage on the Myanmar earthquake is all about Bangkok, because it's open, connected and that's where all media have their correspondents.

We've got no idea what's actually going on inside Myanmar.

It's going to be grim.
