Just giving this awesome Micro Professor MPF-II a bit of a tidy up. This is a great wee machine. Contrary to belief, she is not an Apple II clone. Only BASIC is compatible with the Apple. Yes, she really is THAT small! All done and looking fantastic!
I didn’t enjoy it the first time I read it, but I find it’s moved higher in my list in subsequent reads
It can, unfortunately my Gaming Laptop can't do video over it's USB-C cable, so whilst the game runs the Video doesn't appear
Sure
I've got my VR homage to Halls of the Things running on my Pico 4 headset, but I can't test it on PCVR or Meta. I don't suppose anyone is willing to test a build to see if it runs? Cheers

I love Minidisc and so should you. One of my favourite videos because I still have my two portables and can play 25 year old audio in perfect quality. www.youtube.com/watch?v=YAY9...
But, I have the dungeons randomising and the monsters are there. You can use a sword and bow and find the treasure and the exit ladder.
A lot of fixing needed, but the game is in there
Started working on my Halls of the Things inspired VR dungeon crawler again, I had to stop when I got a weird dizziness thing that meant I couldn’t use a VR headset. I’m still not entirely over it as this session proved, but also I’ve set myself goals and pushed myself too hard
And it won't tell you why it failed either, and the documents it points to don't seem to exist.
Now I know why I kept to doing 2D. I just find 3D development deeply frustrating. And it's not the code side, I've got that working, it's the actual assets. I need to add animations to assets, the best option seems to be Mixamo, but that will only take FBXs and then only a limited type of FBX
Got a new VR headset, trying a Pico 4 this time. Mainly because I’m going to give my VR version of the Spectrum classic Halls of the Things another crack #IndieDev
Yet again, we see how YouTube enables theft and fraud to a massively audacious degree. YouTube is focused only on distancing itself from the predation riddling their platform but they *are* responsible for it. They allow it, they make it easy to do, they ensure it can be done with no repercussions.
To be fair that’s true for both of us
* MegaDrive 3D Engine Day 3 *
Blast Processing kicks in, 68 assembly for the Line and Triangle Fills .
25-33 % speedups vs C = more Triangles & Lines at the same framerate .
Prior C code was surprisingly good. Took real effort to get more speed.
Focussing on render speed for now over 3d effect.
I think it’s still processing at the moment
A screencap of the cover of issue 36. A pixel artwork of sci-fi spacesiuited figuures from a PC-98 game converted to MD palette and resolution is the cover image. Our mascots can be seen down on side of the page, along with a blu-tined techie 'HUD' elements for our feature list. Torin's Passage, Our Experience with Ocarina of Time, Doujin Soft Spotlight, and The Game Worlds We Love
Rolling out onto itch and Patreon: a new issue of Between the Scanlines, our retro gaming digizine; now with a snazzy new cover design and logo!

It's my birthday today, and for a b-day wish, please consider picking it up and our issue catch-up bundles.
I’ve just pushed 2Bit Animator and 2Bit tracker live on iPhone and Android. 2Bit Animator is a very simple pixel drawing and animating tool with export to Gif, 2Bit Tracker is a simplified ProTracker style tracker - if can load mods, import instruments, create new music and export to mod or Wav
If you've ever wanted to make a game for the Epoch Super Cassette Vision (tumbleweed passes) then may introduce SCeVe, a sort of SDK for it. It's written in, possibly, the worst way ever but it does work

Armando looking bewildered
Armando swearing at a plastic duck
I’m confident that a bewildered face and swearing at ducks is a solid foundation from which I can grow a successful campaign. I look forward to winning your full support. #Taskmaster
Just over a week to go, I've had all my information through so now it's just turn up on the day and do a big walk. Sponsor me if you've somehow not seen this the 2000 times I've posted it before and want to!

I couldn't resist this recent eBay item. On first glance it's a Teletext Adapter 'cheese wedge'. However, it has two ribbon cables coming out of it which is odd. Open it up and you'll find a 6502 2nd processor board sat on top of the teletext PCB. Two in one - a user DIY job! Never seen this before.
nice
