Today, we remember the victims and survivors of Columbine. We pledge to never stop fighting for a country free from the threat of gun violence in honor of those who were killed at Columbine, and for all victims and survivors of gun violence.

One of the first memories I have of how unreasonably dangerous this world can be. I had lived such a sheltered childhood. All of a sudden my mom was on the phone multiple times a day, getting updates on my cousin in the ICU. He survived. So many children have not. 🙏

Official and unofficial reparations requests from Antigua that emerged during and after Cellini’s visit have included scholarship programs, providing funds to upkeep National Archives, requests for genealogical research support (to identify descendants of people enslaved on plantations), and requests to fund non-communicable diseases research. To date, the discounted business development courses are all that have been offered by the university.

This is such a reasonable list of suggestions for collaborative, mutually beneficial work.

most forest rangers don’t like
this assignment so far from forests
the forest ranger said but
it’s not so bad really

where the public is not allowed

I really want to know what #bugsky has to say about this! We also have some water “features” (toad habitats) and I’d love to control for mosquitoes without hurting other critters

How Our Grandmothers Made Us and Saved Us - Orion Magazine What evolution owes aging women

When scientists talk about evolution, it becomes obvious pretty quickly that a lot of it is about trying to determine the defining thing that made us human—leaving the trees, walking on two feet, eating meat, cooking food, big game hunting, controlling fire. But how about the grandmother hypothesis?
