[but it’s not a post-it, but rather the Euro News logo/ident which was added s an overlay to the photo and just happened to, presumably accidentally, make it look like a post-it note had been adhered to the passed-on Pontiff’s face. Hope that clears up why this was such a good joke.]

[FURTHER NOTE: So you see the gag is that it looks like the late pope has a white post-it note with Euro News written on it on his forehead. As if he was playing said parlour game, and his opponent, perhaps Scorsese, had written Euro News on it then affixed it to him. So it‘s funny, see?]

[NOTE: this is a very good joke if you are aware that there is a parlour game called Who am I? that involves players writing a famous person on a post-it note (or cigarette paper), sticking it on another player’s forehead, and then them trying to deduce/guess whose name is written on the post-it.]

Rare picture of the late Pope Francis playing one of his last games of Who Am I? with Martin Scorsese.

Creating a humanoid robot that can catch you no matter how fast you can run does not actually give the comfort the manufacturer intended.

Nothing pisses me off quite as much as politicians attempting to throw civil servants under the bus for their own blunders, and the blunders of their moronic, over-confident and inevitably rude political staffers.

I just love to see sim racers making the jump to IRL racing and doing well.

Motorsport will never be cheap to do, but the difference between a couple of grand or less for a sim rig and tens or hundreds of thousands a year for traditional routes in is such a lowering of the barriers to entry.

Aye, much the same thanks. Physically quite shit, but not as bad as I was and in good spirits.

And perish the thought that someone in Number 10 might have done some deep in-depth research such as [checks notes] having been alive after 1990 or checking Wikipedia.

“…to inform the highest authority of the known information was not yet known and therefore there was no authority for the authority to be informed because the need to know was not at this time known or needed.”

If Bernard was around this whole sorry mess could be easily explained away.

“Apparently the fact that you needed to know was not known at the time that the now known need to know was known, and therefore those that needed to advise and inform the Home Secretary perhaps felt that the information that he needed as to whether…”

Retro looking pride colours striped mug.

One or two would look good in your kitchen and on a table in use. Also would be great as gifts

If the friction of the Schengen opt out was a sweet deal, why aren't people enjoying the Entry Exit System?

A comic of a group of dinosaurs gathered around a chart as a meteor hurtles toward them. Above, the caption reads, "On an earnings call 66 million years ago..."

The chart depics the S&P 500 climbing rapidly.

The dinosaur is saying, "No need to panic, the meteor may impact earth but not the SpaceX IPO."

There is no conflict in these two things.

The conflict is between those who wish to criticise others but do not stand for criticism themselves, who wish to impose their beliefs and way of life on others, who wish to make some people worth less, and those like me who believe personhood is universal.
