New Year, Same Me, Different Edges I think we can safely say 2025 sucked. Some highlights made it seem less sucky. Dick Van Dyke turned 100 safely, without any significant incidents. Hopefully, he will continue to dance with the penguins for as long as he can. Scientific research had a beneficial year with more advances in the battle against cancer, especially breast cancer. Unfortunately, my father has had the same mobility issues for several years, so there’s been no advancement there.

ICE officers intercepted him, claimed they had a warrant, and took him into custody. They never showed the warrant. His wife called in a panic—she didn’t know where he was, only that ICE had taken him, and no one could tell her where. Several hours passed and she found out he was in one detention center in Newark then he moved to Elizabeth, NJ.
