Thank you for asking!
The Indiana Pacers are 20% owned by Steven Rales. Steven is also the cofounder and chairman of Danaher, which owns Cepheid. Cepheid makes GeneXpert rapid TB tests. Making rapid tests affordable and broadly accessible is a key part of the strategy to end TB!

As we know, Everything is Tuberculosis. This includes Game 7 of the NBA finals. Ask me how
Personally I estimate that at #TBHillDay advocates spent at least one bajillion hours being really nice and cool
Open to metaphor suggestions from other #TBHillDay attendees 🫡
All across the country today, TBFighters are getting on planes and trains and automobiles and heading towards the nation's capital. It's like a reverse infection. Or maybe we are the immune response...? Antibiotics? Still workshopping tbh
TB is rare in the US partly because of brilliant trans people. The US put xray machines on vans and drove around saying "xrays here, get yer free xrays", catching cases before people got sick.
The guy who pioneered diagnosing TB with chest xrays? Alan Hart, who was a trans man. #EverythingIsTB
Always has been
Cory Booker mentioning drug resistant TB twice during his record breaking marathon speech? Congrats senator you're a TBFighter now
TBFighters haven't forgotten that it's still #TimeFor5.
Danaher needs to produce their long-overdue audit. Can you believe we have been waiting for two occurrences of #WorldTBDay now?
I hate TB so much I'm gonna...divorce it 😤
Happy World TB Day. Grateful for all the work global TB Fighters pour into preventing this curable and preventable scourge. Together, we can end TB.
To mark #WorldTBDay2025 our working group member Dr. Kazi has published this op-ed highlighting the disastrous consequences of USAID cuts on the global fight to #EndTB. World leaders must act now to #CommitInvestDeliver!

It's #WorldTBDay. Let's remember that even before recent threats to #Tuberculosis funding, there was a funding gap for #TBdiagnosis, #TBtreatment, and #TBresearch.
We must increase (not decrease) global health investments to fight this epidemic.
This #WorldTBDay, we stand in solidarity with the millions who are affected or lose their lives because of tuberculosis every year.
The effort to #EndTB is urgent. Global health budgets are being cut around the world and TB rates right here in Canada are rising.
It's world TB day.
The last two months have been a series of attacks on global health, infectious disease science and vulnerable populations. The damage will take decades to undo, and we are heading onto a steep global health disaster.
We can't stay quiet.

Happy World TB Day. Here are some things to celebrate: The price of bedaquiline dropped by over 50%! 75 million lives were saved in the past 25 years due to global efforts to end TB! The reccomended treatment length was reduced to 6 months! Yes, we can end TB!
Today is #WorldTBDay! With the recent setbacks in the fight against TB, it's easy to forget the progress we've made as well, so we're here to remind you: hard work in community with others creates change and empowers progress. Let's celebrate these wins!
Spotted in line at @johngreensbluesky.bsky.social’s #EverythingIsTuberculosis book event in Indianapolis. I love nerdfighteria.
Check out this excellent review from longtime #Nerdfighter and TBFighter Hannah, who talks about why #EverythingIsTuberculosis isn't just Crash Course TB, it's about the treacherous things we believe about tuberculosis
An infographic titled "Tuberculosis Myth" with a TBFighters hourglass logo in the upper right corner. "Myth: Tuberculosis is a disease of the past. Fact: Tuberculosis (TB) is the world's deadliest infectious disease. The CDC estimates that ~23% of the world's population was infected with TB in 2018. At least 1.25 million people died of TB in 2023, according to the World Health Organization."
The Gilded Age may have ended in the 1900s but consumption, more commonly known as #Tuberculosis, didn’t end in the past. In fact, TB is still the deadliest infectious disease in the world, even though it’s curable! #IDSky

On one hand, I desperately want people to understand that TB is not a disease of the past and take it seriously. On the other hand, I desperately need people to understand the Kansas TB outbreak is not the largest in the history of the US
Great thread. The UK and US have a lot in common here
We have a time slot every day this week plus one on Monday where we will all do our calls together! It's nice to briefly go over the things we're calling about together and then have a space for camaraderie. Please join if you want!
Good thread and article for TBFighters to read!
This 6-year project, was successful only because of decades of foundational, respectful, global collaboration, funded by many, including USG. Continued engagement by USG in global collaborations is essential to progress in health that benefits US & everywhere. #TBSky. Short video on endTB trial ⬇️.
Three letters with US flag stamps fanned out in front of a US Postal Service collection box
Like phone calls and personalized emails, handwritten letters are a really powerful way to tell your Reps we need their help to #EndTB! Send them consistently in the lead-up to TB Hill Day to emphasize just how crucial funding is to end this inequity

We are blown away by the response to this post! There are #TBFighters from ALL FIFTY STATES who are committed to attending Hill Day — but many of them need financial help to make it there. Can you chip in to help make the biggest ever #Tuberculosis Hill Day happen? act.pih.org/tb-hill-day-...
#Tuberculosis: TB is one of the world’s biggest health crises affecting over 10 million people per year, including over 1 million children.
And every three minutes, a child dies of TB.

You didn't hear it from me, but a little birdy told me we now have 50-state coverage, pending a few confirmations.
See you all in April. 💪
