Why not call to abolish ICE altogether?

It's pretty obvious how they're responding to the LACK of such a movement

Why does life explore so few of the forms it could possibly take? Using fractal descriptors, this #scienceadvances paper shows that Earth’s biosphere clusters around simple shapes, reflecting deep evolutionary constraints. @artemyte.bsky.social @manlius.bsky.social www.science.org/doi/pdf/10.1...

I'm having trouble seeing the invasion and takeover of a sovereign nation by the USA as a distraction.

3 months ago 1 0 1 0

Circumstantially relevant with the numbers as they are. What if they were flipped 94%/6% the other way? Would that create any legitimacy for American rule of Venezuela?

Governance of Venezuela (or Greenland, Mexico, Canada, Colombia, etc) should never be subject to American public opinion.

Regardless of American public opinion, the only opinions that matter on this question are those of Venezuelans.

The question should only be posed to Venezuelans, not Americans.

How is it only 94%?

"Milquetoast statements" from allies are the problem today? Not the invasion and abduction executed by their partner?

How do we do more with biodiversity data we've already collected?

I gave a TED Talk on scientific discovery in ecological databases at a joint TED Countdown and Bezos Earth Fund event for #NYClimateWeek this year, and it's now live!

How little we’ve seen: A visual coverage estimate of the deep seafloor In decades of deep-sea exploration, humans have observed only 0.001% of the deep seafloor, leaving 66% of planet Earth unseen.

Fast-forward 4 years and a ton of research later, and my initial estimate remains the same--we've seen ~0.001% of the deep seafloor, an area approx the same as the size of Rhode Island.

CO₂ concentrations are already higher than during the Mid-Pliocene Warm Period, 3-3.3 million years ago, when global sea levels were 5 to 25 meters higher than today!

We are in uncharted territory and most people are (kept) completely oblivious.

Bizarre that they lack data for Canada, S. Korea, Norway, Iceland, and much of the EU, yet somehow have it for most of the world.
