Artemis II returning to Earth on Friday
It just dawned on me that we could be where we are today because the Iron Sheik was a really effective wrestling heel in the 1980s.
I've been trying to wrap my head around how cool this all is. I'm happy I get to experience this at least once in my lifetime.
Love or hate the theme song to Star Trek: Enterprise, it sure is stuck in my head on loop play right now.
There's rarely a day that goes by where I don't fondly remember the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.
You don’t need to have all the right words. You don’t need to wait until you’re falling apart. Reaching out takes courage, and calling or texting 9-8-8 is the first step towards getting the support you need.

I needed a specific precision screwdriver bit, so I ordered an electric screwdriver kit from AliExpress. After a week, it arrives... Missing the single bit that I bought it for in the first place.
If you needed proof that the universe has either a sense of humour or loves trolling, there you go.
In honour of the BNL sellout at Harvest, allow me to present one of my favourite scenes from the TV show "Community":

We’ve somehow made it to 2026 without a Canadian channel reviving the early 1980s game show Super Pay Cards.
It's fine in its role as a glorified search engine, it just appears its dataset might be a couple of years out of date, which could lead to some bad advice in a small amount of cases.
But it's also a fun tool that won't tell me if the Shediac Giant Lobster could wield the Nackawic Giant Axe, so...
It's the first time that one of these chatbots has felt like the real humans I interact with in real life.
Now, to give the chatbot a little bit of credit, it did know that Pluxomicon is not a village in central New Brunswick and that Chipman does not have a bronze statue of Bobby "The Brain" Heenan.
I just did a story on this bridge. It's neither a covered bridge, nor is it open (closed in September of 2025).
It looks like the dataset for this might be stuck in 2022-2023. Such a wonderful technology. Sorry about anyone wanting a new MRI machine!
A screenshot of a chat with the NB Tourism AI chatbot where it indicates that Blaine Higgs is the current Premier of New Brunswick. Blaine Higgs lost the provincial election in 2024 and subsequently resigned.
I couldn't get the NB tourism AI to tell me how long it would take to drive Route 6 or where I could get tickets to the Saint John Flames, but it did drop this little nugget for me:
I'm going to be that weird guy that everyone avoids in twenty years because I keep shooting video in landscape mode instead of vertical.
What I can I say, I like situational context in my videos.
A Woolworth's and the Met in the same photo might be too much nostalgia for this early in the morning.
You can say that the technology that marketing people call "AI" is unreliable and prone to errors, but there's a non-zero chance the New Brunswick AI tourism chatbot is going to direct someone to a Woolco and it will be glorious.
You always have to look at the bright side of things!
You can say that capitalism is bad, but without it, how would we have such ridiculously narrow parking spots in our parking garages?
I, for one, would miss the daily shimmying in and out of my vehicle, it makes me feel like an action movie star!
That’s a pretty good Harvest lineup, even if it is once again missing Weird Al Yankovic.
I like how so many clickbait news headlines are written like Jeopardy! answers.
I've been blocking AI slop channels from my YouTube suggestions as they pop up, but I'm now down to just one video of a middle-aged man from 2011 showing me how to change the battery on a Toyota Camry.

The colour commentator on these CBC Gem university hockey games sounds a lot like former WWF wrestler, the late "Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig.
I'm waiting for him to, at any moment, challenge Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake to a no holds barred steel cage match.
The vanilla dip donuts at the Smythe Street Tim Hortons are not so much "dipped" as they are "lightly and gently grazed in passing".
The sense of entitlement in their last reply is off the charts.
I figured that software switching the wrong camera back into preview for the committee meeting today would bit me in the ass!
Nothing beats being at the office, looking out the window, and seeing the police blocking off the part of York St. directly in front of your office with their guns out.
The operation is over now, whatever it was, which is why I'm now writing while deeply exhaling in relief.
