Waiting in my own wasteland

Battletech fan art. Night winter scene. Coming from the fog, front and center is Wraith battlemech firing his arm mounted laser while he takes a hit in his left leg. Behind him to the right, standing on the cliff is another Wraith, both his arms raised, firing a salvo of lasers and to the right in the distance, a Phoenix Hawk mech stands rearguard firing his particle projection cannon at unseen enemy.

We are so far beyond even Teapot Dome levels of "government captured by private industry" in this country, and Democrats genuinely seem to believe their unpopularity is driven by being too nice to trans people, instead of being driven by their screamingly obvious hypocrisy about this.

It also occurs to me that something people need to start talking about more is that a great deal of modern tech ISN’T convenient. Being bombarded with ads is inconvenient. Paywalls are inconvenient. Forced broken AI is inconvenient. Constant unwanted updates are inconvenient. Being unable to fix…

She's supposed to be a witch BTW. The movie is called hexed. All i can think of looking at her is how good witch designs can be
