If you make all of your swatches roughly the same size you can stitch them together into a blanket or throw later

I’ve decided to be a rebel and make Stephen West’s Achievement Badge Shawl in worsted. And I am loving it!! It’s going to be HUGE and I can’t wait! #knitsky #knittting

I don’t need to bind off. Can just slip to waste yarn then carry on. It’s a shawl so I’m not super concerned about gauge

I’m doing what the pattern indicates to do but I dunno. I may block this and see if it relaxes

Stated my Night Light Shawl. Concerned about the row puckering the slipped stitches are causing. I’m not seeing that in any of the other projects so I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. #knitky #knitting

Last bit of bind off. Dad’s breathing is getting slower and slower. Losing a dad: zero stars, do not recommend. #knitsky #knitting love you daddy

Dad perking up on antibiotics. Toured personal care homes for hospice today. Hard stuff. Binding off current project. Went yarn shopping. Worsted Color Affection with these. Not sure how to make it deeper and not 1/4 mile wide with this bigger yarn. #knitsky #knitting

In the backseat of mom’s car is a scarf I made her a million years ago when I was a beginner knitter. I’d forgotten it but it’s clear she’s still using it. 💗 #knitsky #knitting

I am two rows away from starting the bind off of this beauty. This is the project I started when I flew down to get dad into the hospital and he’s declined ever since. This morning we changed his code instructions to DNR and I’m very emotional as I near the end of the knitting. #knitsky #knitting

It’s biased. Maybe due to the twist in the yarn.

#showmeyourknits lace. I think this may be my first lace piece. I haven’t done many because it took me a long time to learn to read my knitting and lace was practically Klingon. #knitsky #knitting

When one’s dad is dying, how does one work without one’s eyes leaking all day

One way you can see swap them around a ruler or something like that one or two strands of each in random patterns so you can see if from a distance you can see the change

Reaching the end of color five in this beautiful gradient set. Considering using a deep purple I have for the bind off so I can use all of this set. Pebble Beach Shawl. I am loving all the lovey little details. #knitsky #knitting

#showmeyourknits grey week. This is the first stranded piece I made. I took a class and this was the project. The yarn is deliciously soft but I never wear it because I don’t like things that close around my neck.
