I like the recommendation "Avoid overly broad funding calls." For decades I have recommended that the Portuguese funding agency stops "calls in all domains". But it is 2026 and we are still going through these expensive motions that likely pass the Szilard point...

This started from a simple but annoying gap: we know that women and men have different multimorbidity patterns, but we still rarely look at the underlying biology by sex.
