Large flowers and a petal covered sidewalk.
🌱 Spring blooms.
The white crepey bud of a matilija poppy flower about to open.
The same matilija poppy flower, now fully open. It has large crepey white petals and a yellow puffball center. It resembles a fried egg.
Last night and this morning. For reference, this did not flower until May 17 last year. 😬🌱

Ass’t Parrot tulips in pots; the 2-tone fuchsia are clearly my faves. Bulbs from Veseys, Brecks online; and other local sources.
Newly planted in Fall 2025; proud of the Yellow Magnolia for surviving Winter, floods and bastard moles.
A red tulip and a yellow tulip with cherry blossom and a planted potato bed
Tulips and my potato bed.
I now have peas, turnips, borlotti beans, french beans, potatoes and onions all planted/sown. Not by me obviously, but at least something is in the ground 😁🌱
Late daffodils under a blue sky, a beautiful (if a bit windy) afternoon at RHS Bridgewater 🌱

Three sunshine yellow lily flowers in front of my palm. They are huge for glacier lilies.
I know I bombard you with photos of glacier lilies, but like...this is a WILDFLOWER, no cultivation at all. It's so gorgeous I just can't get over it.
HAPPY EARTH DAY! May we unitedly overwhelm the wishes of those whose only relationship with nature is a financial transaction.

A double-flowering yellow narcissus with interior orange highlights looks up towards the sun. A few small raindrops from an earlier shower are visible on a few low petals
Happy #EarthDay to you.

“So soon may I follow.
When friendships decay,
And from Love’s shining circle
The gems drop away!
When true hearts be withered,
And fond ones have flown,
Oh! who would inhabit
This bleak world alone?”
- Thomas Moore🌱

Here's a short post about Earth Day from my beloved friend Claudia over at the Great Orange Satan. She shared the TikTok video going around about Rachel Carson, plus a couple of pictures from my garden

Photo of a creamy white peony blossom. The petals have scalloped edges and are abundant and tightly packed.
First peony of the season 🌱
Cluster of pink plumeria flowers with soft yellow centers, blooming closely together on a stem, surrounded by green leaves and grass in the background.
Yum‼️💚🌱
Outdoor garden scene with grey/white puffy clouds and patches of blue sky peaking through. In the center is the Earth Day flag - a blue and white planet on a blue field - blowing in a good breeze. The bottom half is various lush green spring foliage - asparagus, Cala lilies, mock orange, and tall trees in the background.
Happy Earth Day all! 🌱 🌿 🌍 ☮️

A Fresh Look at the Crab Nebula www.nasa.gov/image-articl...
Hubble captured the nebula’s intricate filamentary structure, as well as the considerable outward movement of those filaments over 25 years, at a pace of 3.4 million miles per hour.

HAHAHA! That response killed me. And it's so damn true.
Any "extraordinarily brilliant person" would know his presidency is in free-fall after his disastrous decision to enter another endless war-of-choice in the Middle East & that on November 3rd accountability is coming for the most corrupt criminal Administration in U.S. History.
