The Family Historian User Groups were still having problems, but the home page and Knowledge Base are still around. Family Tree Analyzer, a #Windows genealogy utility that does what it says, saw a beta release (the first since December of 2023).

A lot of mobile apps and browser extensions were updated, Gramps-web received an update with some visual enhancements for the relationship graph, @wikitree.bsky.social Sourcer received a major update, Storied added new upgrade tiers, and some WordPress plugins were updated.

Interesting enough, Charting Companion 9 for macOS from Progeny Software is now listed as not having been released. It had been showing that it was released for macOS and supported #familytreemaker2024 which was interesting (there are already a couple of plugins that support #FTM2024 out).

I'm writing the #genealogysoftware news brief for February 2 - 9 and I've noticed maybe 4-5 browser extensions, mainly Firefox and Chrome, that are no longer available. It happens when security or stability problems are found and extensions aren't updated to fix the problem.

If you use (or develop) #Chrome, #Firefox, #Safari, or #MicrosoftEdge browser extensions for your #genealogy research, and you've noticed messages in the browser extension stores about the extension needs to be updated or it will be delisted, well it's happening
