✅Manta & Devil Rays: The UK championed a ban on retention and promoted safe release.
✅Whale Sharks: The EU secured similar protections and plans to expand them to Basking & White Sharks next year.
Frustratingly, Atlantic fishing nations have once again failed to agree on adopting a proposal to end at-sea removal of shark fins. Try and try again…

Here’s a beautiful pic of a butterfly ray for you.
These rays are known for their burying behaviour in the sand, a technique they use to camouflage themselves when resting during the day.
This can leave tell-tale Butterfly-Ray shaped imprints on the seabed.
