COLORLESS DISCOURSE We've removed the color from this world with the loop of arrogance and our discourses with echoes. Utopia is wounded every time we crucify those who are human while we refuse to confront the mud puddles outside our homes. I may get raked over the coals for this one but oh well lol. While cancel culture does have a valid place (for abusers and those who chronically hate those different than them for no reason) I feel it's definitely become toxic and overdone for people just being human and making mistakes.

SCHOOL YARD FOR GHOSTS We're turning the world into a school yard for ghosts. With noses held high, we play with toy replicas of ourselves and think we owe each other nothing as the sky closes in and we beg for shelter. When our wounds start to blend into our lifestyles, we become perplexed at the empty spaces to where our circles once extended. We expect perfection of everyone we meet while pardoning ourselves of war crimes. The silence we gift our loved ones is tougher than the jade we ignore when salt is closer and easier to pour into our wounds as we convince ourselves we're the victims.

I think one of the reasons we've become so depressed and lonely is that social media has given us inflated self-importance while diluting what true friendship should be.

Ripples of thick purple-blue Soften my eyes. Soul pricked with joy I watch those heavy headed bells And recline into spring’s deep release.

My training is in electrical engineering and I have been a professor for more than thirty years.

More and more, I think autism is a gift. It is a desire for extreme focus and completeness. Things that break concentration are irritants. What would we do without autism?
