Miliband doubles down on net zero - Energy Live News Labour to announce breaking the link between gas and electricity prices and more renewables push

Ed Miliband today: "The era of fossil fuel security is over and the era of clean energy security must come of age....To ignore two crises in less than five years would be completely irresponsible… our action must now be faster deeper and more wide ranging.”

Pine trees shrouded in fog. The closest trees are distinct but the image quickly fades into a hazy blur just a few metres away. On these kinds of days the sun often struggles to make any difference at all but sometimes, like this, it can warm the light into a yellowy haze. Easy to lose your way here if you wander without due care (which I sometimes do).

Looking through older photos (as you do) and found this from exactly one year ago today. I do love a foggy forest.

There really is no such thing as race. We all came from Africa. We are all of the same stardust. We are all going to live and die on the same planet, a Pale Blue Dot in the vastness of space. We have to work together.

It's a social construct. It's not a bad thing in any way. Black people (those of African decent, recently and Carribean) are more resistant to sun damage than fair-skinned people (like the Norweigian folk) burn really easily as I understand.

Makes sense. Less expensive as well.

Paying attention to how the Oilers are doing in the playoffs. It would be neat to see them play the Canadians that is if Boston (American team) can be beat first. They were strong against the Canucks in 2011.

Way to go to Pugasso and Crane for reaching the final round. As well to Cat Witch, your performances were truly spectacular. I am not revealing the winner of the cup, or contain other spoilers.

I really enjoyed watching the 14th season of the Masked Singer, however as I was not in the audience I didn't have the option of selecting the singer who won the cup. She did a great job at the final song but I feel some of her earlier pieces weren't better than some of the other singers.

Autism has become 'glamorised' and diagnosis 'desirable', expert warns Dame Uta Frith, who pioneered research that underpins autism, warned the expansion of the label to include people who suffer from conditions such as anxiety has brought the framework to 'collapse'.

If autism is glamorous why hasn’t @voguemagazine picked up the trend?

As a Canadian, I agree that Trump causes too much troubles. I think too many people get news from bad sources.

It sounds like the US government has the wrong priorities at this time. Since when is a war more important than taking care of ones country. Expecially, when there is currently no war in North America right now. What Trump is up to is crazy and not right for any logical thinker.

Good tip! I do this when watching French videos and it helps massively. I can read better then I can understand verbally. When there are options for English subtitles I might do this for other languages but for French I believe I am at an early A2 level. I want to start thinking in French!

There might be an app for phones but this doesn't translate to tablets. The app I got for my tablet which I thought was free turned out not to be. I will just use Bluesky on my laptop. Specifically, for my phone I try to keep social media of it.

I think the main problem with the US is the two party system. Once you allow more parties to form and update your rules on who can run, then you might have an easier time. I don't see this very likely happening while Trump is in office.

I don't know why the Olympic committee made the decision that they did. However, I feel that the US shouldn't have been able to participate in this Olympics. Trump is causing too much trouble for the rest of the world including Canada. 2/2

Apparently, our hockey teams won silver against the US. They both were unlucky in the finals. Silver is still quite good however, I am not sure this game should have been able to happen. The US's leader is doing some bad things towards other countries and even within the US. 1/2

Just because the US are our neighbour doesn’t mean I respect them right now while Trump holds the power. I will not visit the USA while he’s president as the border officers have too much power as well. So, no the US is not an ally of Canada for now. Trump is a dictator.

Being neurodiverse is hard since not everyone takes me seriously. That might include at job interviews or job assessments, which aren't always fair. I am currently in 3 online courses but I know they may be more challenging simply bc they are online. One is a communications course. /end

I have decided not to become a cop due to various factors. This could change in the future but I need back up options. I would like to live in Ottawa again (not as a student). However, with my current degree I cannot compete with others. (Too many with the same degree). Currently, I'm not bilingual.

I have definitely decided I am not going to let my parents run all the decisions involving me. I should have some say too. My decision is to go to school in 8 months. Well officially, starting in September. I want to get more qualifications so I can make a higher wage. Thinking of a certificate.
