...ahead of more in-depth discussions and potential collaborations. This video has been in the works for a long time, being funded by UKRI off the back of me winning Vitae's National 3MT Competition (Judge's Vote) back in 2023, and I'm so excited to share it with you now: youtu.be/cwM6tJGSdMI pt2/2

🌟 Exciting News🌟 Yesterday I presented my PhD research at @bournemouthuni.bsky.social's fantastic Exploitation and Violence Conference. During my presentation, I debuted a video summary of my research, aimed at disseminating my work to stakeholders working in GBV... pt 1/2
Absolutely thrilled to announce that I passed my Viva on Friday with minor corrections! Thank you so much to Karin Petrini and Nicole Westmarland for examining, Danae Stanton Fraser and Mitch Callan for supervising, and to everyone who came along to celebrate afterwards 🍾
I recently had a fantastic conversation with Vikki Wright and Tina Skinner on Vikki's podcast The PhD Life Coach on #researcherwellbeing. It's a great introduction to the subject for PhD students.

Very excited to announce that last week I started a new job as Lecturer in Psychology at @bathspauni.bsky.social, specialising in forensic psychology! I've been welcomed by such a wonderful community of academics and I can't wait to see what the future has in store for my teaching and research.
In personal news, I'd like to introduce Loomis, who will be taking up the role of Chief Wellbeing Officer in the Warbis/Robins household♥️
Just submitted my PhD thesis!
Had a break from thesis writing last week to give a talk on VR in GBV research at the @VAWGRN @ResearchLex @CSEL_UK @feminist_legal joint #FeministLiverpool2024 conference. The inspirational speakers definitely helped after the upsetting news for women's rights on Wednesday.
If you have or know of any opportunities, please feel free to tag me, send me a message, or reach out via email at sew67@bath.ac.uk. Please feel free to reshare this post! (4/4)

As a recap of me:
🗣️ I’m currently researching sexual assault bystanders and using VR to do so
🥇I’m the @Vitae_news @3MT_official 2023 Judges' Vote UK Champion
🫶 I co-founded and chair the international, inter-university PGR/ECR Researcher Wellbeing Group (2/4)
As someone who used to lead a data visualisation team, these are both hilarious and so disheartening...

Wonderful night at the @UniofBath @DoctoralBath Doctoral Celebration Evening, recognising the fantastic work within our doctoral community, and talking about my experiences winning the National @Vitae_news #3MT competition last year.
Especially grateful to the other incredible women in this field who have been championing my group - Tina Skinner, @helenlbeckett @NadiaWager @Miranda_Horvath @theresa_redmond @Kristinebrance to name a few.
Absolutely chuffed to see we now have over 100 members in the #ResearcherWellbeingGroup! It's fantastic to see so many #ECRs of emotionally challenging research want to support each other. @UniofBath #researcherwellbeing #PhD
Seeing some men's responses to the "Would you rather encounter a man or a bear in the woods?" debate on #tiktok just highlights how much work there is left to do to raise male awareness of #GBV.
Did I just add my 500th reference to my PhD EndNote Library? Yes. Are 181 of them still unread? Yes. Do I have a folder in my library called 'Interesting but irrelevant'? Yes. #phdlife @ThePhDPlace @PhDVoice
It was a privilege to be invited to be a keynote panellist at #ICDDET, sharing my experiences of the @3MT_official competition and my work in #researcherwellbeing. Fantastic to see the doctoral education community so engaged with these subjects.

Very inspiring preconference on intervention science at #SPSP2024. Come and see my poster again at stand 197 at 6pm today!
Had a great time speaking to @BabettePain from @ScienceMagazine about #researcherwellbeing. It's fantastic to see these discussions happening more and more each day.

Feeling super empowered after the Researcher Wellbeing Group hosted a talk by @UniofBath’s Tina Skinner on her fresh-off-the-press research in this field. We had a record number of 64 attendees! What a way to end 2023! #researcherwellbeing #secondarytraumastress
..., but sadly not surprising. In Patrick Tidmarsh's #thewholestory, he recalls some police officers believing false reporting to be between 40-100% of rape cases (<10% in reality). And we wonder why survivors are reluctant to go forward. 2/2
Still in shock at being the #Vitae3MT Judges' Choice Winner 2023! It's been an absolutely incredible journey, and I can't wait to run a stakeholder engagement event with the prize money!

And congrats to all the Doctoral Recognition Award winners (what a fantastic year for @BathPsychology!) @jo_is_me_2 @charlton_k @loisplayer @n_higsonsweeney @RachelHLees95 Danaë Stanton Fraser, @JanetBultitude Kate Cooper, @ledablackwood @lwhitmarsh Tom Freeman, and Tina Skinner.
Couldn't have done any of it without the support of my husband @BMLRobins and sister @Rebeccawarbis cheering me on.
Excited for the Researcher Wellbeing Group (run by myself and @samantha_may9) to be hosting @NadiaWager on the 12th of June for an exciting hybrid talk on "Researching Gender-based Violence: Impact on research team members and mitigating the risks". Open to all, DM for details.
