This past weekend I went to down to the #2026LosAngelesBookFestival. It’s beautiful to see so many that love books, reading and everything that goes with it. I loved it but sadly I didn’t get to meet @mychaelthelibrarian. Maybe next year. I had a wonderful time. Even if it was TOO DAMN HOT!

Day trip!

6) Make nice with people you see often. You don’t have to be friends, but in my area a bus driver has waited for my disabled ass more than once when I am trying to get to a bus just from seeing me often and saying hello and thank you after a ride.
(YMMV=your mileage my very) this is what I learned.

3) Invest in your comfort, however that looks for you.
4) Learn at least one other language ‘hello’ ‘excuse me’ ‘help’ and ‘toilet’ come in real damn handy even if you are in the US!
5) If you ever can keep stash cash. Not everyone take digital money, and it helps when your phone dies

People who are disabled
1) get one of those claw extender things to grab shit. Sometimes you can’t reach or do t have the spoons.
2) go in day trips when your spoons, money, and accessibility allows
3) get a library card, sometimes the shit you need is at a library, because it’s not just for books.
