Does anyone remember the ladybirds for grown ups image of teacher yoga - caption something like ‘Lucy appreciated the wellbeing session but this was not getting her books marked’ I can’t find it - it was all over Twitter at one point. @funkypedagogy.bsky.social @jillberry102.bsky.social ?

Google Gemini reckons you can’t find that out, it’s probably correct …

I think one of things that is fascinating about the story telling is that as soon as one side is winning my connection shifts to the other side. My sympathy is very evenly balanced between the two protagonists. I hate the one episode at a time thing though!
Snowy morning start.
Snow! 😍
Let’s continue to grow this platform in the manner it has started - a wonderfully collegiate, informative, interesting space for educators everywhere. Hurrah! @collegeofteaching.bsky.social @ascl-uk.bsky.social
A lot of discussion lately about the reasons for the decline of Eng Lit A-level.
Are the Gove curriculum & exam reforms to blame?
I don't think so, because the decline of Eng Lit / the humanities more broadly is a global trend.
More here.
My map of children's independent bookshops is updated regularly. Most provide an online service and they're all run by people who can make well-informed book recommendations. Make sure you support your local one if you want to keep it. Any missing, please let me know. padlet.com/Jon_Biddle/r...
I hope there is an answer! Agreed, your threads are quality!
Very excited that #EduDrinks is back this month on 29th November from 7:30pm. It’s always a great evening and a chance to see old friends and make new ones from the education world. DM either @deputypaul.bsky.social or me for the Zoom link.
One to block and report. They're coming and they want to cause trouble.
I’m reading up on teacher recruitment, but I don’t see clear patterns about what first brought people into teaching.
For me, it felt familiar - I thought I’d like it (especially reading) & I wasn’t sure about what career I wanted. I gave it a go to see.
How about other teachers, past & present?
Yup, Nov 1st. I have it on good authority from friends that it really does take a very long time to prepare for those magical Christmas performances with little ones, but the whole commercial world doing Christmas early Nov is a bit mad.
It is too soon! Unless you are trying to make money, apparently. I guess it’s moved from the shops into everything else!
Very grateful to the wonderful @marymyatt.bsky.social, who has the following to say about The Homework Conundrum!
