Sorry about the bother.
The Federal Judicial Center deleted a chapter on climate science from a reference manual for judges. I spoke to one of the authors of the chapter. Gift link: www.nytimes.com/2026/02/10/c...

Could not agree more. She is a fine ship, with fabulous Captain and Crew.
access to the response is denied. seems to be for members only?
I'd love to visit. What is the website? (there is no click through in the image)
Hearing directly from scientists on the impact of funding cuts is very informative

Fabulous opportunity for exposure to exciting careers in aquatic sciences. Thanks ASLO Student Committee!
Aquatic sciences are central to humanities well being. This piece stresses military dependence on scientific knowledge and there is so much more. Avoidance of loss of life on D-Day was new to me, as was the involvement of Walter Munk!

🌊 #URIGSO professor @drplankton.bsky.social joins a global team of experts to outline the many ways plankton (tiny, single-celled aquatic organisms) make life on Earth possible: from regulating climate and fueling ecosystems to advancing science, sustaining economies, and shaping culture. 🦑 🧪
Plankton make Earth habitable. Here a number of plankton experts, led by an early career colleague show (incl. in high quality images), why and how.

Women make up only 16% of corresponding authors who submit to Nature, a new Springer Nature analysis revealed. This is not enough - there are 30-40% #womeninSTEM
We want to change it, through targeted editorial policies & outreach. But change will take everyone!

Water is essential, but 1 in 3 people still lack access to safe drinking water. ASLO recently supported @agu.org and @asm.org in producing a report on how climate change fuels waterborne infections and how science can help. Check it out now: asm.org/reports/wate...
