When editing, how ruthless are you?
A) Save the cut scenes elsewhere like spare parts you could use later,
B) delicately rework the scene so you keep it,
C) delete like a psycho and yeet it into the ether, never to be seen again.
I’m option C. If my darlings aren’t working, they are gone.
Writers, what are your days jobs or side hustles that allow you the freedom to write and pursue this crazy dream?

I’m a pantser through and through. I love discovering the story as I write. I’ve tried outlining before but always end up veering wildly because the characters take over.
But in saying that, I don’t start writing until I have a vague idea of the story arc/shape.

I missed the first 2 days but, hi, I’m Eva, a Nepali-Australian romance writer who also dabbles in sci-fi and fantasy/ retellings.
The MC in my romcom is an introvert, sensitive, and prone to daydreaming—hazard of being a secret romance writer. The whole story is his POV and the betas loved him.😁
For those who were querying first & then went indie? What made you do it?
