Here, we analyzed monocytes and macrophages across three compartments in PMR patients, circulation, bursa fluid and bursa tissue. Our findings revealed a complex cytokine network that drives the development of pro-inflammatory macrophages.

Our analysis revealed altered expression of key immune molecules on B cells in GPA, with FcγRIIB, BTLA, and CD21 linked to disease activity highlighting the intricate immune dysregulation in GPA. Future studies should explore underlying mechanisms and assess their clinical relevance.
