Suzanne Featherstone and I have, from the start, raised serious concerns about Cornwall Council's proposal to use glyphosates.
After Cornish Labour MPs wrote to Cornwall Council asking them to reconsider the use of these herbicides, I'm glad to see they have seen sense and halted the rollout.

We already knew Richard Tice aggressively avoided tax. Now we’re told his company just plain failed to pay tax that was legally due. For someone supposedly in public service he goes to extreme lengths to avoid paying his fair share towards public services www.thetimes.com/uk/politics/...
It's been a successful launch this past couple of weeks to our Labour Rural Research Group's national campaign to improve British farming profitability, through Honest Labelling and Levelling the Playing Field.
I look forward to taking the conversation forward with Defra when I return from recess.
Too right it does.
In 26 days' time we will:

Honest Labelling would make it easier for you to buy British food, with two labels that clearly tell you whether your food was grown, raised, or made in Britain, and how those animals were raised and treated. 🐄
How can you know if you're buying British food when labelling is so complicated? 🍞
Today the Labour Rural Research Group launches our campaign to support British farmers, boosting their profitability by introducing Honest Labelling and Levelling the Playing Field. 🚜
The conviction of Reform's Nathan Gill for taking bribes from Russia is a wake up call - hostile states are seeking to undermine our democracy at every turn.
The Government has already acted, but there's more we can do.
We're starting with a call for honest food labelling and a truly level playing field for British farmers in terms of trade, standards and regulation.
With input prices soaring due to the Iran War, it's as clear as ever that we need to ensure British farmers - which have some of the highest standards globally - are making money on their core business of food production.

“Alignment requires equity, so that both sides can prosper.”
Noah Law MP lays out not just the importance of UK-EU alignment, but also the need for both sides to recognise the mutual benefits of close cooperation.

I welcomed Emma Reynolds to Adstockfields Farm last month.
Following on from conversations we held with local farmers, I raised in the House today about something they strongly about - making sure there’s no gap in support as schemes change.
And our Government is listening 🚜

I feel immensely sad about Kevin's passing. Whilst I can't of course pretend for a moment to agree with his politics, Kevin was a genuinely decent man who, especially following his illness, threw himself into his work and helped secure local campaigning victories - working effortlessly together with those of us of all political stripes to get things done in the community like in Nansledan. My thoughts are with his friends and family at this time. May he rest in peace.
