Got e-galleys of an anthology that one of my stories will be published in this year! I skimmed through some of the authors and titles and I'm excited to read them all. The title is TRUNK: Stories that took the long way, edited by @bmorrisallen.com. Naturally, I'll let y'all know when it's available!

Did you know that frog factory farms exist?

Thousands of individuals are crammed into tiny spaces with no room to move.

No animal deserves to suffer like this.

Your Party Isn’t Worth Their Panic Herbiⓥore published a post on Ko-fi

People light fireworks to celebrate. But celebration for one group should never mean devastation for another.

For other animals, fireworks are bombs. No warning. No explanation. Just terror.

There's may even be a fourth story coming, which would match last year's March total. I don't think the rest of the year will keep up the pace, though. Last year was an anomaly.

My latest story is out today in Trollbreath. Cats in space! (sort of).
Lots of good stuff in this issue. Plus, it's cool that each issue starts things off with an interview of the artist - in this case, Aimee Cozza.

Cupernicity, B. Morris Allen The center of the universe shifts. When you’re young, it’s all about your principal carer, and food, and bedtime snuggles. As you age, gravity intervenes, and the center moves further away, to cliques...

As the Nebula nomination deadline approaches, I hope that you'll keep in mind my 2025 novelette "Cupernicity" in @thefuturefire.bsky.social, which I'm very proud of. Please consider including it in your nominations.

From 'Lay-by-rinth' a story thar appeared in 'HOPE: This Thing With Feathers' in 2025, an @metaphorosis.com anthology.

Possibly the only proper love story I've done :)

Masha M.'s review of Chambers of the Heart 4/5: HAUNTING, HEARTFELT, AND IMAGINATIVE. B. Morris Allen has a real talent for crafting speculative stories that feel both wildly creative and deeply human. Each story is a small, perfectly formed...

It's been a rough year personally (and brutal this week), but good on the writing front. I'm glad to close it out with something positive: a review of my last collection of stories.

Why we loved this story: "1B" by B. Morris Allen is a touching love story. It's lovely that so much can be communicated without meeting face to face.

A careful, thoughtful, PUBLIC process for developing rural changes would be more transparent and durable.

Well, I'm in favor of the latest change in #SFWA's #Nebula rules, I'm concerned that the sudden change suggests a failed process the first time around.
We want the rules to reflect community input and avoid knee-jerk, reactionary changes.

A careful, thorough, PUBLIC process for developing these rules would be much more effective and durable.

I would hope that any changes of this nature go through a careful, thoughtful process. We want policies to reflect the views of the community, but should avoid knee-jerk, reactionary changes.

The frustrating thing about US cars is that there are many brands (like #Subaru and #Hyundai) that use synthetics for their seats, but insist on animal leather for the steering wheel cover. So close! (But they still lost the sale to me.)

Tom Stoppard, playwright of dazzling wit and playful erudition, dies aged 88 A theatrical sensation since the 1960s, whose dramas included Arcadia, The Real Thing and Leopoldstadt, Stoppard also had huge success as a screenwriter

I didn't read a lot of #TomStoppard, but I did read Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead in high school, and it was incredibly funny. I went back to it several times (and much later saw the film) and always loved it.
