I read the House on the Cerulean Sea!

I couldn’t put this down. I wanted to know what would happen to Annie and Bean (unborn baby’s nickname) and if they’d connect with her husband. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the ending felt abrupt and not quite finished.

After living in Japan when the big earthquake hit, I’ve been terrified about what might happen here (the Pacific NW) if the big one hits. This book gives us a glimpse into what might happen.

Annie is 9 months pregnant and due any day, so she heads to Portland IKEA to find a crib that will work for her baby. While she’s there, a huge earthquake hits.
