Some of the work I've been doing in my role as @greenparty.org.uk for Church Ward during February
#MySefton
Gorgeous morning for a walk around Church Ward.. picked up on several issues that I will escalate.. ๐๐ถโโ๏ธ๐๐
At last nights council budget meeting I voted against the Labour budget for 2025/26. In terms of council tax, residents will see another 4.99% increase from this year. This will place an unfair burden on residents, many of whom are already struggling with the cost of living crises.
BP is abandoning green energy and is to massively increase oil production, increasing the threat to life on Earth as a result, all in the name of making short-term profits to keep hedge funds happy. This is madness that threatens us all. www.taxresearch.org.uk/Blog/2025/02...
Attended the community and volunteer workshop at Bootle Town Hall last night for the Sefton Coast Nature Conservation Strategy ๐ณ๐
We're so lucky to have the Sefton coast right on our doorstep but it faces many challenges.
Thanks to everyone for a great session. #SeftonCoast #NatureConservation
Don't be fooled by Labour in Sefton
It's 13 years of Labour in power and 13 years of Labour failing to deal with environmental crime and take it seriously
No wonder they've ordered their councillors out litterpicking, rotating around Sefton's wards
