We'll be back litter picking again along The Moors tomorrow Saturday 28th March as part of the #GreatBritishSpringClean.
Over the past two Saturdays we've already cleared around 100 bags of grot plus lots of larger fly-tipped items.
After yesterday's #GreatBritishSpringClean litter-picking session by our members in the City Centre, the ancient streets #Colchester are now a lot cleaner and tidier than they were - by 33 bags worth of assorted grot.

We completed a second, much bigger litter pick yesterday afternoon and picked three more bags of rubbish! That's five full bags picked over the past few days!!
We found some interesting things on the litter pick, but most common items were what we call 'cemetery-norms'* 1/2

Today we held our first group litter-pick of the 2026 #GreatBritishSpringClean.
We cleared 63 bags of assorted grot plus stuff that wouldn't fit in bags- a lawn mower, office chairs, carpets, large bits of wood and lots more besides
