Did you know 5 kilometers is 24,606 bananas long? Thanks to the VOA of Western Washington, I know that now. Had a great time at the 5K in Everett today.

Two students I’m mentoring have competed in the #robotics category of a county-level #STEM competition on March 25th 2026.
It was a county-level competition in Zagreb County, Croatia, and featured several different categories (robotics, Arduino etc.).

We did it! Today we took part in #TidyTownFest – The Big Barrow Clean Up and hosted our own litter pick in Barrow Town Centre. We collected 7 bags of litter. Huge thanks to everyone who joined us including Cllr Michelle Scrogham – together we can make a difference to the environment on our doorstep and create a cleaner, greener Barrow for all. The event runs from 23 – 29 March 2026 More information can be found at www.travelactively.co.uk #tidytownfest (Note: Michelle Scrogham is actually the MP for Barrow).

Litter pick this morning around central Barrow with a group from St Marks Church. We managed to clear 35 bags of rubbish off the streets.
Amazing work and they laid on soup & sandwiches for us all afterwards.
