Got to hang out at Parliament this afternoon to mark #SocialPrescribingDay, and be in the company of a luminary like Angela Rippon.
Main takeaway is that social prescribing is already mainstay in the NHS, but the 10HYP's focus on neighbourhoods and prevention embeds it further still.

An illustrated drawing outlining the benefits of food prescription programs. A light purple background with hand-drawn images of food with a food prescription. A darker purple beam flows from the food prescription listing the benefits: at their best, food prescriptions grow knowledge, improve food access, build food skills, build community and food system resilience, & help people develop new habits. At the highest level, food prescriptions improve health and therapeutic outcomes and decrease long-term health burdens. Illustration by Alex Sawatzky.

Quote from a person supported by Linking Leeds: โI loved how you were so inclusive and knowledgeable. You just knew what places could help. I also like how you listened ... you really listened and understood.โ
Quote from a person supported by Linking Leeds: โI will have bad days again, but the difference now is I know they are not permanent. I cannot thank you enough. This would never have happened without you taking the time to listen to me.โ
Quote from a person supported by Linking Leeds: โItโs a safe, secure service and you focused on what I need rather than just asking loads of questions. We got straight into looking at things that could help me and you always texted me the stuff we talked about, so Iโve got it all if I need it in the future.โ
