Why can’t you take fast trains to any country in 🇪🇺?
Capital to capital.
Trains that stop fx 2 places in each country or 1.
🇪🇺 has existed for many years but still don’t have a decent rail infrastructure.
You often have to change after 4-500 km.
It's been what, 4 years(?) since the inflation reduction act passed, and yet I still default to thinking about the Irish republican army whenever I see IRA in a SoMe post..

Look, for my money the absolute game changer technologies right now are batteries and biosciences, not statistically modeling a mid conversation, but you do you.
Can we finally agree that burning wood for energy is a terrible idea and won't be carbon neutral, let alone carbon negative, in our lifetimes? BECCS using wood certainly shouldn't qualify as CO₂ removal (CDR).

This is a good point, many UK scientists are at least as comfortable with Euros thanks to Horizon Europe - I wonder if the same is true of other fields?
Yes, and also the bit that I simply can’t understand is how joining the euro always seems to be presented as a problem for Rejoin, not an opportunity. A chance to join the single currency that has massively enriched its members? You should be biting our arm off.
