I’d want to try anything and everything. I loved experimenting with Fiber Arts in classes: batik, silk painting, needle felting, embroidery, etc.. Any kind of printmaking! I’ve been wanting to try pixel art too. #kidlitart

I completely understand. I hope you can break out some of your pencils, just for yourself! Or maybe sketch traditionally before transferring to final digital piece? I’m not sure. I wish I had a solution for you. #kidlitart
I work traditionally 95% of the time. Paints and colored pencils are my favorite mediums, by far!
I use digital art as prep work (ex. color planning), and every so often fine touch-ups. I suppose i use it more as a tool than as a medium. #kidlitart

I think the thing that is making burn out extra difficult to deal with these last few years is just how dehumanized art has become. It was already bad with the pressures of satiating social media, add engagement farming accounts that repost art uncredited and GenAI on top...🫠 ofc we're not ok
Honestly? A huge fuck you to all the ChatGPT-assisted assholes in my inbox trying to pretend they've read my books so that they can sell me something. There's a special place in hell for the lot of you. And I hope you know that pretty much every creator ever hates your fucking guts. Cool, right?
