YouTube has finally figured out that I need 50% of my video recommendations to be about bicycles.
People will interrupt me at work such that I have to remove my headphones and look at them and then they will say “do you mind if I ask you a question?”
Like you’re already asking me just shoot.

Yaa. Have gone through a few iterations on kernel design and currently trying to build out a kernel based on this (open access): dl.acm.org/doi/10.1145/...
Okay so I’m building my own CAD program from scratch and it’s going maybe poorly but sometimes I’m working in OnShape and I see a behavior that simply does not work properly and I think - ah! It’s not just me! CAD is complicated.
Gorgeous pictures! What a lovely energy. ☺️

An Australian photographer captured Mãhina, a rare white humpback calf in Vava’u, Tonga. She is swimming her mother. The presence of rare individuals like Mãhina—only 1 in 40,000 humpbacks are born with this lack of pigmentation, is a sign that the whales are thriving.

“has been outside” is not the reason I would clean a used toilet. 😹😹😹

NASA’s SLS (Space Launch System) rocket with the Orion spacecraft carrying Artemis II Commander Reid Wiseman, Pilot Victor Glover, and Mission Specialist Christina Koch from NASA, along with Mission Specialist Jeremy Hansen from the CSA (Canadian Space Agency), lifts off at 6:35 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, from Launch Complex 39B at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The Artemis II test flight will take the crew members on a 10-day journey around the Moon and back.
... Okay, genuinely this view of the launch of Artemis II is really hot.
Uhhhh you could s u r f 🏄🏼♀️ the World Wide Web 🌏
Artemis???
Croesus asked the Oracle: “Shall I make war on Persia?” She whispered, “A great empire shall fall.” Drunk on prophecy, he marched east.
Something that’s really nice about the moon mission is that by and large everyone involved is a pretty good person and is highly competent. Millions of Americans have not been exposed to that on TV in a long time and this event brings back in to focus what competency and decency looks like.
Great article from @taliabhatt.itch.io on the trans literary counterculture that's been at the core of a lot of the hottest sff coming out these days--whether readers know it or not www.theverge.com/cs/features/...

This weekend I internally routed all the shifter wires and battery internally and put on bar tape. I swapped the pedals and adjusted the seat and bars. It’s been feeling *really* good on the street. This is my best bike yet. Coming soon: front disc and second front chainring.
A year ago I built a new computer and thought: fuck it, 96GB of RAM. That cost $250. Now 96GB of ram is over $1000. Feels wild everyone is out there getting by with scraps and I’m over here just opening a bunch of tabs and running extra processes wheeee.
To be fair eyeliner is the only way people can tell my gender so I get it.
One thing I've noticed watching Star Trek throughout the pandemic is how every female character wears lipstick. Not the little bit of color to prevent washout. Full on lipstick. Human captain. Romulan spy. Freedom fighter. Borg Queen. Alien Pope. Lipstick!

We must abolish prisons. Abolition is the only way.
a white background with a black outline. the bottom two thirds show a rudimentary sketch of a prison. it’s angled to make it look like you’re inside the prison. there’s barbed wire on top of the walls and two towers with watch lights on top. on the walls and floor there are quotes written in jagged handwriting. from right to left they read: YOU HAVE TO ACT AS IF IT WERE POSSIBLE TO RADICALLY TRANSFORM THE WORLD. AND YOU HAVE TO DO IT ALL THE TIME. WHAT WOULD WE DO WITHOUT CIVIL DEATH, EXPLOITATION, AND STATE SANCTIONED VIOLENCE? I AM NO LONGER ACCEPTING THE THINGS I CANNOT CHANGE. I AM CHANGING THE THINGS I CANNOT ACCEPT. THE MASTER’S TOOLS WILL NEVER DISMANTLE THE MASTER’S HOUSE. everything is consumed by red, orange, and yellow rough flames that twirl about and dominate the picture. above in simple letters it says ABOLITION. below in a subheading it says IS THE ONLY WAY.
sooner or later
