I have one last thought on this and then I swear I’ll shut up. When I got married some 23 years ago, I didn’t feel like it was right to invite only some people from my relatively small office. It was all or none. Even the ones I didn’t care for. All because I never want anyone to feel like this.

I guess the moral of this story is that these feelings are not reserved for 4th grade girls that get left out of birthday parties. Only good thing about experiencing it as an adult is being able to manage the emotions better

To be clear: I *knew* I wasn’t invited and I was okay with this, until seeing the pictures on social today. A woman working there for less time than me was invited. I think that was the slap in the face for me
