False boneset (Brickellia eupatorioides) is in the aster family and a common wildflower of the prairies and the Southwest.
Popularized by the herbalist, Michael Moore, because it has a long history of being used as a tea to lower blood sugar. It's the most bitter herb I've ever tasted!

Elecampane (Inula helenium) is in the aster family and can get huge by the end of the summer. A very easy to grow medicinal often used for upper respiratory infections.
Lycopus americanus (bugleweed) is possible to grow from seed, but is challenging. However, once you have it in the garden, it will spread easily from underground rhizomes. Similar to mint. Here it was last summer and the plants coming back this Spring.
Yerba mansa (Anemopsis californica) is a fascinating plant in the lizard tail family (Saururaceae) and native to the US Southwest. It loves to grow in wet areas and is used by herbalists as an antimicrobial.
Reproduces by runners (like strawberries) and is wickedly difficult to germinate by seed.
Meanwhile, babies coming up. So exciting!
Agastache foeniculum. Makes a lovely sweet tea. Easy to grow and it's perennial. The bees cover it in the morning when it's flowering.
Update. Because you may not know.

1/3 Pollutants don't stay in the water. In San Diego, we showed they become a previously unrecognized source of air pollution. Once inhaled, toxic chemicals and airborne pathogens have been linked to cancer, heart attacks, and dementia. As water pollution rises globally, this is everyone's problem.
A vast array of vegetable and flower seed packets.
The back of a car absolutely packed with annuals starts in purples and pinks and reds and yellows.

An experiment to see if co-seeding Pedicularis canadensis with Sporobolus heterolepis (prairie dropseed) will work.
The grass is happy, at least.
Okay. I planted a little too many peppers.
But that's what neighbors and friends are for. 😘
Picked up one of these at the nursery and it's flowering!
Butterwort (Pinguicula sp.). Eats gnats on the indoor plants. Easy to grow.
Why adulteration of herbs is becoming a problem. And what herbalists and herb growers can do about it.
