BREAKING

Defend Our Juries website taken down as attack on freedom of speech worsens - blocking access to important legal info for protestors.

This is what happens when the Government uses anti-terror law to silence dissent.

Happy to see @isleofrum.bsky.social and @rumdeerresearch.bsky.social here on BlueSky 💙 We had a wonderful stay on the island in April, every day was magical with crazy skies switching from hail showers to sunshine, sun halos and aurora. And wildlife everywhere; sea + golden eagles, divers, otters...

What an amazing day we had. So many people came to our event to celebrate 15 years of community ownership....and many were surprised at the amount we had achieved and our honesty about our challenges.
Feeling blessed and still have a ceilidh yet to dance the night away!

I found a sense of community on this Scots isle I had never experienced anywhere else Many of us dream about giving up the rat race for a new life in the country but Elle Duffy actually did it. She gave up her job as a journalist in…

One of our newest residents and visitor services manager Elle has a weekly column in @heraldscotland to write about her new life on Rùm.

Our final total for the @scottishbirding.bsky.social SOC Highland bird race is 38 species including this grey wagtail. We were hoping for 40 but 38 is quite respectable for a day around Kinloch on Rum in January #birds #ScottishBirding @isleofrum.bsky.social #isleofrum

This year marks 15, that's FIFETEEN,whole years of community ownership on Rùm.
We have done a pretty good job considering all the obstacles in our way.
We will be celebrating in true small Isles tradition with a ceilidh, a big stone, an exhibition in a tent and lots of stories.
All welcome.
