I remember my mom told me that a fear she had when my twin and I were born is that we would be born on separate days. According to her, an old coworker of hers their was a twin or had twins, one born Dec 31, other born Jan 1st. Two different years. Thankfully that did not happen with us.

I’ve already gotten a comment and DM from a scam bot who was asking for a commission then asking you to click a suspicious looking Instagram link which I did not click!

How one can improve. I feel lot of people struggle too with imagining a perfect complete concept & then cannot execute it. Or try to do it all at once rather than starting with sketches or planning. It’s impossible to translate something from one’s head perfectly for anyone. All art by humans is art

Commission scam bots have recently made their way to Bluesky. Stay vigilant artists!

Fallen for that easily if I didn’t think to check their post history. I hope artists won’t fall prey to that scam

I figured out what the scam was. I was talking with them and they sent me a Instagram link though messages, I assume that is a link in which when you sign it it will take your info. I’m not going to click it. I hope people don’t fall for this since if I didn’t think to check their history I may have

I also had one too from them, I got the same message and was excited for a moment. I knew it was suspicious as soon as I saw that all their comments were just asking for commissions same text in every comment

I didn’t know anything really about Chinese mythology like Diyu, or the demons and creatures. the show did such a good job educating on that in a engaging way. I hope you get to do a season 2 for it!

I loved the background in the show! I noticed how look they looked while watching. I loved the coloring and shading style. It always perfectly fit the mood of what was happening

I have finals to do yet I still made time to watch the first 2 episodes. It Was so tempting to watch it all. I cannot wait to finish once I get these 2 essays done! I love the lighting and color choices and everything. And the character designs and writing

I feel like a some casual follower people tend remember artists more for their work and style vs full usernames. And any confusion can easily be prevented by saying your previous username in your bio. I changed mine a month ago. Congrats on the username change! People will know who you are

That looks AWESOME

Same, I’ve had internet safety ingrained into my brain since I was young. My username now is a combo of my real name and also the username ravenpotter I had since 5th grade and was my first actual username. And I like the bird too and the vibe of the word. But I think I found a good middle ground

I’m not looking forward to having to get a Adobe subscription after college

1 year ago 1 0 1 0

I would rather pay $300 for a art program I own forever, vs paying for Adobe which ends up being like $300 a year. Heck I would save money in the long term if it was some crazy number like $500. Stuff is more expensive today with subscriptions

I used to think I hated Turkey since it was dry. I guess it was just how it was cooked. My mom did make amazing mashed potatoes though!

That one discovery shark week mockumentary has done so much harm to society so many years later. People watched it thinking it was real because it seemed real and was presented next to factual documentary content.

It was beautiful. I’ve never seen such a unique story on motherhood & found family that feels so real. it shows the realities of nature & death which can be harsh. But that kindness is a survival skill & is strength and that it brings people together. I’m hoping to get the art book soon.

I saw the film with my friends, many of which are autistic, adhd, or neurodivergent and we all loved the film. It was a masterpiece and I am so glad I saw it in theaters so that I could see all the details up close and large. I haven’t cried before at a film since Coco. But I felt a few tears.

Art means nothing to them except a final product. They don’t want to comprehend that art has purposeful and human choices in it and that’s what makes it powerful. Art is meant to bring emotions, comfort, have fun, make people think, etc. art is human. And AI is not human and steals from us

In the past to share art across the world you had to travel for days & weeks and it was complex. & it was likely displayed or used in one place. Today we can share it to the world though the internet to the every day person. You can find virtual tours of the great museums. These AI people don’t care

Most accessible art books. We have cheap vibrant sets of the rainbow sold at even the most basic of stores. We have a full rainbow of crayons in a box in every elementary student’s pencil case. There is no excuse to say that art is gatekept, because we live in a golden age of knowledge

Right now art is more accessible than at any point in history. Mediums & colors are easier to get than at any time in history. You don’t have to pay a fortune for ultramarine blue. Knowledge is free & shared on the internet. Information that was gate kept/ taught by the masters is in even the
