Facebook reminding me it’s been 13 years since I past my driving test makes me feel old.
I’m still 18 in my mind 🤣

Reform’s regard for Wales and its history is appalling.
One of the worst parts of burnout is when you don’t have enough energy to read books you know you will enjoy.
When I was younger and still struggling to understand myself, I remember turning to self-help books, but they never had the answers I was looking for.
Sometimes I wonder if this unconsciously influenced my decision to write later on after I found the answers I was seeking.

Yup, there’s a change I want to make, but as I’ve researched into it, the process involved is putting me off, even though I will be happier once the change has happened 🙈
It’s Autistic People’s Month!
& we need to #StopTheShock !!
For over ten years the Judge Rotenberg Center in MA has housed Autistic people & utilizes wearable electric shock devices to control dangerous behaviors
Children are zapped for things like swearing
It’s the stuff nightmares are made of
Why does this happen nearly everytime 😩
Whenever an autistic person says anything about autistic experience you’ll have some allistic person SCREAM “eVeRyOnE iS LiKe tHaT!!!!”
Thing with being autistic is I’m not opposed to change; sometimes I want and need it.
But it’s the process of change that throws up the challenges for me.
Happy Autism Acceptance Day!
One reason I wrote my book was so that young AuDHD people (autism and ADHD together) have better resources that encourage a more positive understanding of our neurodivergence to support self-acceptance.
To find out more, take a look at the post and link below ⬇️
April fools day being the first day of autism month feels rude.
School can be such a a harsh environment for both neurodivergent staff and students.
It absolutely intensifies this feeling for sure.
It was how she was describing an autistic-coded character as queer due to her characteristics that made something click for me in my mind.
Just FYI, I’m no longer responding to enquiries that come into my inbox which use AI.
This may sound strange, but reading an Agatha Christie book recently helped to develop my understanding of neuroqueer more.
I honestly don’t think we talk about how traumatising school can be for neurodivergent people enough.
Luckily, I found the new supplier’s strawberries were better quality!
Autistic hypersensitivity meant I could tell the supermarket had changed their strawberry supplier from the first bite this morning.
Happy ALCS day to all those who celebrate
Bonus if there is also a purring cat by your side or on your lap.
Sometimes the biggest luxury is having the time to read a book whilst sipping a cup of tea.
Not so much for myself, but I’m dyslexic too, so I think it’s both at play for me.
There are times where I can reread a page 10+ times before I actually read it...
Same!
As I’m dyslexic too, I think this adds another layer to it as well, but it’s not remembering what I just read definitely feels ADHD-related.
One of the hardest parts about reading with ADHD is that you can get to the end of a page and realise you haven’t taken in a single word or remember what you’ve just read.
So often I have to re-read a page multiple times before the meaning has sunk in.
There was only I can remember which I didn’t hate!
