Watching #DoctorWho in the cinema is kind of a huge blessing.
Seeing how people in the real world reacted to that episode (overwhelming positive joy and awe) compared to the visceral bitching on dwtwt is night and day.

Wish World was a very good episode that awkwardly sits on a foundation of set-up.
Unlike The Legend of Ruby Sunday that works extremely well as it's own thing, I think whether Wish World is seen as "good" or not will rely completely on the pay-off that comes with the next episode.

RTD bloody comes out knocking this latest Doctor Who episode out of the park!
Although it doesn't quite live up to the story it's building off, it manages stand by itself as an equally interesting and tense episode. Which, for a sequel, is all you can really ask for!

It's insane how Russell T Davies seems to be incapable of missing in this run.
Almost every episode is phenomenal, with the weakest episodes just being "decent".
Lux absolutely continues this trend. Such a fun, unique, and insightful episode!

I'm so glad someone else got the Classic Who vibes! By the time they were in the generator room I found myself wishing we got a version of the story that was the length of a Classic Who serial.

Absolutely! It's a British sitcom, so it's not long at all. Including the newest one it's only 21 episodes and all but 3 are only 20 minutes long!
Truth be told... I didn't like Joy to the World. It felt A LOT like a Matt Smith Christmas Special, and I was never a big fan of those.
But, on a positive note, I absolutely loved the year Doctor Who spent on Earth. And I loved the little ending location twist.
