The main project of my PhD 🧬🔬 is out: we developed single-cell lentiMPRA, a lentivirus-based method to measure enhancer activity and transcriptomes at single-cell resolution. We then applied sc-lentiMPRA to fully synthetic enhancers 🧩...

Proud of @juruehle.bsky.social for getting her PhD paper on biorxiv! In it, we take synthetic enhancer screens to the single cell level, offering new insight into how transcription factors and enhancers interact 👀
Early bird registration is closing Feb 28! We will have an AMAZING party!
Una buena noticia para empezar el año 😊 El trabajo liderado por @larsplus.bsky.social, investigador del CRG, ha sido reconocido por la Asociación Española contra el Cáncer como uno de los avances de investigación más destacados de 2025.

This was a lot of fun! Thanks Daylon and @arunsharmaphd.bsky.social for being great hosts!
DNA-methylation-based deconvolution can be a powerful tool for identifying novel disease subgroups. In our paper in Acta Neuropathologica, we show how this can be leveraged in IDH-mutant gliomas - specifically in oligodendrogliomas.

#IRBBarcelona & @crg.eu scientists identify DNA “barcodes” that mark blood cell #aging—accelerating after 50. Published in @nature.com, the work could pave the way for preventive, personalized #antiaging therapies.

Excited to share our latest paper @natmethods.nature.com
We present a high-throughput framework to map cellular interactions at ultra-high scale – broadly applicable from whole-organism immune response mapping to personalized therapy response prediction (1/4).

Do you want to improve our understanding of therapy resistance induced by epigenetic heterogeneity? Do you have a PhD in Molecular Biology or related fields? Join us as a (fully-funded) Postdoc in the Division of Cancer Epigenomics at DKFZ. More information here: www.dkfz.de/en/cancer-ep...
In our study published in Leukemia, we showed that HMA treatment can also lead to repression of oncogenes such as MNX1 through the activation of miRNAs. Great work by Simge Kelekci from our division. www.nature.com/articles/s41...
Out in Leukemia (@natureportfolio.nature.com). Hypomethylating agents (HMAs) such as decitabine are used in clinical practice for the treatment of Acute Myeloid Leukemia and expected to re-activate tumor suppressor genes de-activated by aberrant DNA methylation.
The next #ScienceatDKFZ event will take place on Monday, 23 June 2025, at 4 pm. In addition to the keynote lecture by Chong Sun, there will be four 5-minute short talks by DKFZ junior scientists on recent highlight publications.
