(cherry tree in our garden this morning - fragrant fragility)
*Fragment I, als ich deine Zeilen las -
dem Geiste einer Verblichenen zugeeignet:
Achtlos hast du mein Herz fortgeweht
du Land der bitteren Winde
und an die Gestade der Sehnsucht gespült
wo Licht sich dem Schatten verbinde

...'blossom'. It's a blossom - 😐
photography: for days I was observing our cherry tree, waiting for its blossoms to unfold, for the right lighting, an interesting sky. April, the old trickster observed me, too, snickering, and has decided to taunt me just that little bit 'extra'

A passer-by stops to capture the explosion of cherry blossom in Grangetown, Sunderland, NE England this afternoon.
It's something of a springtime showstopper – the annual explosion of springtime cherry blossom, pictured this afternoon in Grangetown, Sunderland, NE England. Such a shame that in no time at all, it will be gone!

Photograph of a 1989 paperback copy of The Haiku Handbook on a wooden surface in sunlight. The cover includes the subtitle “How to Write, Share, and Teach Haiku,” lists the authors William J. Higginson and Penny Harter, and is decorated with blocks of pink, green, and blue.
Haiku happen all the time, wherever there are people who are ‘in touch’ with the world of their senses, and with their own feeling response to it.

my warmest greetings and most heartfelt gratitude to all the fellow poets sharing their work on blue sky! You are a great inspiration and immense joy! Happy Haiku Day to you all!
indeed, it is international haiku #poetry day!
wWiting #haiku: both an arduous, yet exciting journey and intense, intraspective joy - a pure, distilled form, concentrating treasured, surprisingly silent moments into a minimalist word painting. I remember the
sunset
peaks floating
on fiery clouds
the more street art I discover, the more I get the suspicion that creativity has moved out of the art galeries to dwell on walls, underpasses and concrete floors
I really enjoy this metaphor! (can you enjoy metaphors? sounds like having a meal, but then - a good poem nourishes the soul)

thx! for a second I thought I heard him, too. Turned out to be a squirrel, though😁
