They gave it a go here and didn’t see any profit in it so went back to what earns them engagement/money.

I agree but I fear businesses only see numbers.
I’d like to think it isn’t true, but I reckon most businesses are afraid to ignore x for fear of losing revenue. Money, rather than morals, tends to be the bottom line. 😩
I think that people (especially businesses) like big numbers and x provides those.
Kevin Danso has been subjected to racist abuse that is criminal, dehumanising and completely unacceptable. This happened during No Room for Racism weekend. The irony is not lost on us. Proud Lilywhites stands with Kevin, without qualification. Racism has no place in our club, in football, or anywhere else. To the people who did this: you are Spurs fans. That makes this worse, not better. What do you think you're gaining? Racism isn't passion, it isn't frustration, it's targeting a man's humanity, not his football. What you have done is a criminal offence and we hope you face the consequences. To X, Instagram and the other platforms: this is on you too. You have the tools to act. The fact that players are still being subjected to this level of abuse tells us everything about your priorities. Do better. Much better. We are one community. All together, always.
We stand in solidarity with Kevin Danso.
I sat in silence for hours on the way home trying to process what I had seen. The greatest game of football I’ve ever witnessed. It changed me as a football fan forever. Simply put, I realised that entertainment is more important than winning. Despite being an epiphany, it was sickening. Mad game!
The high point of me being a football fan 💙😢
Bravo 👏
5/7
Scrutiny is amplified 10^100 post-2016. This isn't majority informed, objective content—it’s mostly excessive emotional vitriol expressed instantly and preserved forever. "Football is emotional" has become the go-to excuse to justify so much toxic shit out there.
1/7 (my apologies for the thread/waffle)
Before 2016, I would agree that players could try to "ignore it." Not now. Our own fans gave Johnson and Tel so much shit they deactivated their socials.
We’ve seen Ange "gotcha’d" by our own fans. The culture has shifted into something far more predatory.
The greatest prick in the history of footba…..nah, actually the greatest prick in the history of civilisation.
I still think we’ll get out of it. I don’t think there’s a lack of effort on their part (which would show if they’d accepted their fate). Definitely need a few 50/50 decisions to start falling their way though. 🤞💙
There was no pressure on that game as the tie was effectively over after the first leg. We all know our players are technically capable of so much more than they’ve been showing, lack of belief during adversity is the core issue imo.
I’m stuffed having just find my very average dinner. But damn-this looks amazing and my body now thinks it’s hungry again!
This is how Bruce Springsteen opened his concert in Los Angeles last night. 🔥🔥
Footage from @margaret_nagle on Threads.
Probably specifically the Rangers aspect of that potential tie.
@notthatmilo.bsky.social While this is clearly a very hard read, it’s not unprecedented. See also Tottenham before and after the Chelsea game 06/11/23.
Vanity would be my first guess
Paul McGraths finest game.
And wow did he have some fine games.
Comic of David Lynch smoking during an interview about Eraserhead, responding to a plea for elaboration with an iconic "no".
Incredible art depicting the greatest one-word response in the history of interviews.

If climate protesters had blocked roads for as long as the fuel protesters did, there would be people on the radio demanding the army be called in to shoot them all
Hey Dustin. You’ve been through a lot of crap lately and I just want you to know that I think you’re fantastic. I’m willing Spurs to sort their shit out to cheer us all up. 💙
In Korea, when the president declared martial law after midnight and erected barricades in Seoul, congressional reps from all parties ran into the streets, yanked ak47s from the army at the barricades, broke down the locked door to Congress, repealed the martial law order, and arrested the president

A different perspective.
Always helpful.
