A few day off can be so refreshing!
I really needed the Easter holiday!

I really like the Geheimakte Tunguska Series. But might also be a bit harder.
It does make a lot of sense to learn a language based on its logical structure rather than based on your mother tongue's/English's structure/translations.
This reminds me a bit of Language Transfer - I listen to it when I learned Spanish. But Spanish is much closer to English.

Ok, I just started watching Cure Dolly for Japanese grammar explanations.
I could kick myself for not doing it earlier! It makes so much sense now. Really helpful so far.
Danke! Es freut mich sehr, dass der Podcast so gut ankommt!
Not an app, but for Spanish if you want to get better at listening, check out the Youtube Channel Dreaming Spanish. This is what I mainly credit for m, understanding of Spanish.
I agree! I have started to enjoy learning languages since I left school - as well as other things.
School teaching doesn't really allow students to learn their way.
A good thing with learning languages is taking just 15min a day. Learn vocab when waiting for the bus or listen to a podcast when driving.
How I find time is doing it first in the morning, so I don't forget.
I have never considered Mongolian, now I want to look into what type pf language that is.
Honestly for Spanish the most helpful for me was by far the Youtube Channel Dreaming Spanish.
But Comprehensible Input is maybe not the best for streaming.
Anywho, there's no better time than now to put your ideas out there and invite other people to do things with you. Might as well try. You don't have to know everything before starting. You can just start.
I think crime shows a some of the few German produced series that are quite decent - especially in collaboration with Skandinavia.
I have been in a language learning rut the last month, but now I am getting the motivation back!
Yes!
Definitely way better than FremdschΓ€men. That is a feeling I do not like.
I'm glad I am a native π
I have this too with Japanese and then one day it seems to just click and I noticed I actually did make progress.
I want to do things but also I constantly feel like I need rest...
I don't have time for all the things I would like to do and like to learn.
Mainly because if I actually have time I just sit around aand watch random movies...
Thanks! I am happy to hear it is helpful!
Don't know an app, but I loved Dreaming Spanish for the Immersion part!
I agree, I think Immersion is often considered as enough, is because it's the one thing we didnt do in school, but what got us from school level to fluent - forgetting school taught us the base + it is a nice excuse to do more passive learning, which depending on how it's done isnt actually helpful.
What helped me with Thai was lingopolo.org. They seem to have quite a bit of German content. You can use Anki with pre made Decks. These helped me build a habit. Also you could consume beginner friendly content - makes learning more enjoyable.
Why is getting back into the flow of language learning after a holiday so annoying...?
Also can recommend the Teuida app for Grammar and speaking practice and Wagotabi is a game for Grammar+Vocab and makes learning a bit more fun.
I also learn Japanese I use:
- Tadoku Graded Readers
- NHK Easy News
- Comprehensible Japanese, Japanese Super Immersion, Chienowa Japanese, Japanese Conversations, Japanese with Shun Youtube Channels
- Anki JLPT Tango Decks (There are other good ones)
- Genki 1+2 Gourse Books
Comprehensive Input helped me a lot. (Graded Readers and Beginner Youtube Videos) + Core Vocabulary Deck on Anki and any Grammar Book.
Frohes Neues Jahr! π
Frohe Weihnachten euch allen!
Merry Christmas Everyone!
You could try to play a game/watch something in Japanese.
I have this too. But I know it's because I am visiting my parents and then I sleep in and have a lot of other things to do...
