Nin is known for its relentless summer heat due to being built almost exclusively out of blindingly white local stone, and for the fact that it was the first royal capital of Croats when they arrived in their present lands in the 7th century. The area has been continuously inhabited for at least 10,000 years and the town located on an islet is agreed to be approximately 3,000 years old. And you can feel it.

This type of boat is ubiquitous all over the Mediterranean, particularly Croatian Adriatic. Used by coastal people as reliable form of transport and communication or just for fishing, this one's hull is built from wood testifying to its age. I wonder what stories it could tell..

Certainly, but why is it so accessible to us? So easy to pick up, no natural? Perhaps it wouldn't be as accessible to some other intelligent animal, like a dolphin, as to a sharp-eyed, long-fingered plains ape... Dolphins might find musical composition much easier to pick up naturally though. :)
